Your Go-To For Save The Date Invitations, & more with Basic Invite

My Fiancé, Eric, and I's biggest roadblock to planning our wedding so far has been understanding what our "vibe" is as a couple. There's so many feels, colors, flower arrangements, etc to vet - and how can you even begin before you know your couple aesthetic? After months of putting off wedding planning, we decided to put aside time to actually get started but to make it fun. We had a weekday night out at our favorite underground bar (Edison's in Tremont!) for pizza, beer, anddddd wedding chatting. After a couple rounds, and lots of back-and-forth, we landed on some words to describe the vision of our wedding day: City, Whimsical, Retro and Colorful.

Once you have that discussion, then comes the fun part y'all. The implementing of your vibe. The invitations, the wedding website, the save-the-dates (as save the date invitations, magnet save the dates, and even wedding save the date post cards!) And I've found one resource to do it all: Basic Invite.

Printing Save The Dates from your Photographer's Perspective:

As a photographer whose taken couple's save-the-date photos, print quality matters. You've just invested money in beautiful photos, and if they are printed from a poor quality printing service, the beautiful photos aren't going to reflect that way on paper. I always give my couples full print rights to their images, but not everyone knows what printers they can trust, so I can always try to point you in the right direction. Personally, I trust Basic Invite to print out your photographs in quality way.

Over 180 colors to choose from.

More about what Basic Invite has to offer:

Free Wedding Websites - That's right! And they're completely customizable, mobile friendly and super easy to use. Eric and I are using the "Contemporary Colors" template. Why have a wedding website? It's a good place for your guests to go see more of your engagement photos, details of your wedding day itinerary, and registry.

Almost Unlimited Colors - Basic Invite is one of the few websites that allows almost unlimited color options with instant previews online. You can change the color of each element on a card, with over 180 different color options. The card can be exactly how you want it, down to the detail.

Custom Samples - Want to see how your invite will print before committing to 100+ prints you're going to get? Basic Invite allows you to order a printed sample of their invitation so they can see the card’s paper quality and how it will print before they have to place their final order. I ordered 5 custom samples, and loved being able to make a decision with Eric by looking at the tangible cards together.

Over 40 Different Colors of Envelopes - They're just as colorful with their envelopes as they are with their invitations.

Over 900 Wedding Invitation Sets - Each of their wedding invitations is part of a set. They have all the wedding stationery you need, like save the dates, wedding invitations, enclosure cards, wedding menus, wedding programs, and even matching thank you cards!

Free Address Collection Service - My favorite feature! Use their *free* address collection service to request your addresses with just three simple steps. Share a link via social media or email, collect addresses, and get free envelope printing.

Seal & Send Wedding Invitations - Their seal and send wedding invitations are an all-in-one wedding invitation with a tear-off RSVP postcard included! Once you receive your order, all you have to do is add postage, fold your invites, and secure them with a sticker! So simple and easy.
